How do I order?

First, take a look at the menu so you know what items you’ll be adding to your package of meals. Then, just click on the ORDER NOW button to select a package size that works for you. Add your menu items and then during the checkout just select a pickup or delivery date and time.

What do you mean by “packages”?

We offer three package sizes; six entrees, ten entrees and large fourteen entrees. A good rule of thumb is to consider your available freezer space and then see if you can get enough meals to get you through at least two weeks.

How often to you modify the menu?

The menu typically changes monthly. Make sure you’ve signed up for our newsletter and that you’re following Fixin’ To Eat on Facebook and/or Instagram in order to see all updates.

How far ahead do I have to pre-order?

Beginning August 5th, 2021, orders must be received by 10am on Monday for pickup or delivery later in that same week. You can pre-order and schedule a pickup or delivery for later in the month as well.

How do I get my order?

You’ll select your appointment during the checkout process online. We offer pickups and deliveries.

Pickup: You can pickup your order from our Peoria location free of charge (curbside or in-store). Pickups are scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Delivery: We offer delivery on Fridays and Saturdays. Please note that someone must be home to accept the delivery.

How do I request modifications (low salt, etc) to menu items?

During checkout you will be able to add requests in the “order notes” section. We are accustomed to requests for low sodium, low fat and/or gluten-free. This would also be a good place to alert us of any allergies (shellfish, etc). If you need further modifications, just make a note and we’ll call you if we have questions.

I have a gift certificate for Fixin’ To Eat, can I used it towards Single Fixin’s?

Absolutely, but since we don’t have a gift certificate module on this site you’ll just need to phone in your order so that we can apply it.

Do I need a lot of freezer space?

Our containers are as small as 5″x5″ and as large as 6.5″x8.5″. All are no more than 2″ deep. Hopefully that gives you a visual of the space required and helps you determine the right size package to order.

Does everything have to go in the oven?

In order to provide you with the fresh taste and texture that we are known for, yes, everything still needs to be cooked and currently we will provide directions and packaging suitable only for the oven. Many people use a toaster oven with good results but they typically have to reduce the temperature or cooking time listed for standard oven instructions.

How often do I need to order?

At this time you just order when you want as it is a one-time purchase with no subscription. We may eventually switch to a subscription service to help simplify the process and ensure you don’t get stuck without meals at home.

What is your cancellation/return policy?

As soon as you are aware of the need to cancel or reschedule, please email us at Please be aware that we order our food based on your order so we cannot offer refunds.

Cancellations received 5 or more days prior to the pickup/delivery will receive a full credit toward a future purchase. Cancellations received less than 5 days prior will receive a 50% credit toward a future purchase.

If you need to reschedule your original pickup or delivery date/time, we will keep your assembled order in our freezer for up to one week in order to allow for a rescheduled appointment.

Failure to arrive for your pickup time or to be home to take delivery will result in a rescheduled appointment to be completed within one week (if delivery, fee applies). After one week, management has the right to consider the order abandoned with customer forfeiting rights to food or credit.
